Even though Hansi Kürsch’s parents were not wealthy enough they bought him books such as “The Hobbit”, “The Silmarillion” and the Lord of the Ring trilogy, for Christmas and other holidays when he was a child, and later he developed an early fascination for fantasy and specially J.R.R. Tolkien’s work. As a teenager he became a fan of heavy-metal, not much later he formed Blind Guardian. Since Blind Guardian’s early records the mix of Fantasy and Metal were the core of Blind Guardian’s personality. Responsible for part of the complex yet heavy music of Guardian, Hansi is the mastermind behind the band’s lyrical themes. He used Tokien’s imaginary constantly (the best example is the conceptual record Nightfall in Middle Earth) yet Hansi shows interest in authors such as ‘Stephen King(I)’ among many others and historical events. He is an open-minded musician who frequently appears as guest for other bands such as Angra (2004′s Temple of Shadows) or even Argentinean thrash metal combo Nepal (1998′s Manifiesto) and the list is much longer.

Erek Kuehn was born in 1974 (Suhl, Germany) and finished studying Design at the Bauhaus-University of Weimar in 2000. While studying he shot a lot of live action short films, which were mentored by Günter Reisch. After being 2nd assistant director to Joseph Orr and Christian Wagner, he joined the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg as assistant lecturer, and did finally set up for himself by creating “Randlicht Film” in 2004.

When Tommy Körberg was born, his mother was unmarried and the relationship with the father had already ended so he spent his first year in a foster home until his mother met a new man, an alcoholic musician that made his childhood into a living hell.At the age of 16 he dropped out of school and started the rock band Bootleggers. In time the band changed its name to The Maniacs and in 1968 they were on top of the charts with “Somebody’s Taken Maria Away’. In 1969 he made his solo debut with album “Nature Boy”. In the same year he made his first appearance in the The Eurovision Song Contest (1969) (TV), with the song Judy min vän’ which was a big success in Sweden. He had a minor role in Ronja Rövardotter (1984) and a leading role in Benny Andersson’s and Björn Ulvaeus’ musical ‘Chess’. He also appeared a second time in the The Eurovision Song Contest (1988) (TV).The 1990s has meant further successes in musicals like Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music. Maria Körber, daughter of stage director Veit Harlan and actress Hilde Körber, was born and raised in Berlin. She attended drama school at the Berliner Hebbel-Theater with Ernst Schröder and took private lessons from Marlise Ludwig.Maria made her stage debut in Sartre’s ‘Die Fliegen’ in l948. She was offered a first steady working engagement at the Staatstheater Oldenburg. Dietmar Köppel studied Germansitik, pedagogy, music, drama and singing in Frankfurt/Main. TV debut as an actor in 1977 on ZDF film “The Weilburger cadet murder” as Corporal Lemper under the direction of Eberhard Itzenplitz. 1981 he played in the first “Fall für Zwei” on the side of Claus Theo Gärtner and Levin Schücking in the BR-film adaptation of “Die Judenbuche” by Anette Droste Hüllshoff. Theater debut at the Schauspiel Frankfurt with Peter Palitzsch and directing debut at Heilbronner Theater. In 1985 he founded a company for PR and media concepts with Carl Maria Oeffinger and worked for companies such as British Airways, Japan Airlines, Hilton Hotels, Lancome, Orlane Cosmetics, La Biosthethique etc. From 1992 he was also producer for current cultural and medical TV formates a.o. for ARD, ZDF and SAT 1, RTL. 1994 founded an own movie, theater and event production company. 1995 producer and director of the award-winning documentary film “80 years of Arena di Verona” with Placido Domingo.
