Mini Biography:
Eduardo Iduñate was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. After graduating from law school and falling in love with acting during theatre workshops in college, he moved to Mexico City to pursue acting professionally. There, he studied and worked with the finest actors and directors like Patricia Reyes Spíndola and Arturo Ripstein. He has appeared in more than 10 Mexican soap operas with international audience acclaim. He has also worked in many TV commercials for worldwide renowned product brands. Being fluent in English has also helped Eduardo Idunate land roles on American productions filmed in Mexico like “Acapulco H.E.A.T.” (1998) and The Mask of Zorro (1998) with Antonio Banderas and Anthony Hopkins as well as the French production Mookie (1998) along side French soccer star Eric Cantona. Eduardo’s breakthrough performance on TV was playing the part of “Teto” for the soap opera “Te amaré en silencio” (2003), where he played the “comic relief”. Eduardo is also a renowned voice-over actor. He is currently working with a group of talented Spanish-speaking actors in dubbing all of the ABC primetime series. Eduardo Iduñate is the voice of Naveen Andrews’ character Sayid Jarrah in “Lost” (2004) and you can listen to his voice performance in the Spanish version of the award-winning series by choosing the SAP option on your television settings. Eduardo is also dubbing Doug Savant as husband Tom Scavo in the ABC hit series “Desperate Housewives” (2004) and in the TV series “Ugly Betty” (2006) is dubbing the character of Walter. He is the main Brand voice announcer in Spanish for Saturn automobiles, Knott’s Soak City Water Parks and T-Mobile cellular phones. Eduardo Iduñate lives in Burbank, California, “The Real Hollywood” as he likes to call it.
